Applications for RawFfest 2019 are now open!

The core programme will be launched in January 2019, however our planning groups are currently in the process of selecting work for next years festival!

Are you a young person and want to share your creativity? Are you:

·         part of a theatre group and want to bring a show?

·         part of a band and want to share your music?

·         part of a dance group and want to bring a performance?

·         a photographer, artist or fashion designer and want to exhibit your artwork?

·         a writer, poet, or blogger?

Are you in charge of a group you want to bring? Or are you a practitioner and want to run a workshop?

There are no limits to the creative forms we’ll consider.

Applications for RawFfest are now open! To apply to bring something to next years festival, please fill in this form.

The deadline for applications is 28th October so apply quick!

FAQs

Will RawFfest pay me to perform or show our work?

We have a limited budget to pay a small number of headline acts. However, the essence of this festival is that young people come together to share their work, so as in previous years, they will not be paid. RawFfest is a place where everyone showcases their work. One of our young people described it as “an unconventional convention.”

I want to bring a performance. Do I have to pay for a ticket?

Ticket pricing policy will be decided by the youth planning group and announced soon. We will discuss with them how to reward young people who have brought a performance, for example through reduced price tickets. Details to be announced in the autumn.

How much are tickets?

The youth planning group will decide ticket plans for the festival and will update the website in the autumn.

Will workshop leaders be paid?

We have a limited budget for artists to run workshops. However, if you are an artist with an ACW-funded organisation we would expect that organisation to pay your fee (for example, in 2017 we were grateful to National Youth Arts Wales for leading different workshops). You need to ‘pitch’ your idea for a workshop through the form here and the young people in the planning group will decide what they want. Please email to let us know you have proposed a workshop.
